Teddy is a resilient boy! Knowing his story will connect him to his purrfect adopter! He was surrendered to a county shelter at a critical time and when he needed his family the most. It’s ok… the shelter asked for a rescue to immediately step in because he was not well at all! We picked him up sick and matted! Got him the medical treatment he so much deserved but god was on his side! The attending doctor looked at him and knew exactly how to treat without getting the results back! Wishing 24 hours we met the real Teddy! Happy, very affectionate boy with a lot to say! He was ready to tell us he was grateful and how he appreciated us in his own pup way! He has been thriving since then! He bounced from this critical state so fast… he is the reason our rescue decided to create a program around him we now call “Furrcation”. Take a Buddy Furr a Weekend foster program. We feel this activity will help Teddy in the long run he loves car rides, he loves people especially those that help him, he loves babies, he loves dogs and he most definitely cat approved! Teddy also has a hormone disorder called Addison’s. With his medication his doctors expect him to live his full life expectancy with his long term treatment plan. He like many of us (myself included) will live with this hormonal disorder but it doesn’t define him.
His adopter (hopefully local) could have the benefit of being monitored by his current vet at a non-profit clinic, which also includes a lower cost for his lifetime medicine. He would be considered a special needs pup- however now that the worse is over he is expected to do well.
He is eligible for foster to adopt!
Neuter, microchip, vaccines, rabies, flea and tick prevention, heart worm prevention, 1 year of both of his medicines
